CHEF DERON

A descendant of Japanese artisans and chefs, Deron was born in Honolulu, Hawaii where he marinated in the tropical beauty and the richness of the unique locally grown food and international influence of the many cultures that converge there. He was transplanted to Texas in the 1980's, graduated from UT, did a four-year stint in Army Intelligence, was stationed for two years in South Korea, and traveled widely throughout Asia. He then completed his MBA in Finance at TCU, and embarked on a career in Investment Management. However, Chef Deron has always loved cooking, amazing friends and family with his audacious recipes in which he blends the exotic taste palette of Asia with the treasured traditions of Southern cooking. His aim is to feed your soul as well as your body with dishes lovingly crafted from a lifetime's experience.
